I saw it today and really enjoyed it.
Some bits were a bit horrific though haha.
I also think it was a bit silly how the people were put in the room with a crap door at the back which could be broken down by one man. And also I didnt think it was realistic that they practically left the infected woman who was immune almost unguarded. Just a couple of soldiers walking around?
But then the movie wouldnt be very good if they contained the virus would it
They should of just gassed Britain at the start before bringing people back in.
The very pessimistic ending was cool, the world is screwed now.

Originally by: Angor absolute great film... well better than the first one...
the first 5 minutes just shock you to **** if you havent seen the first one... i love it and the daughter is so fit!!!! 8-P
I agree about the gas sceen... and I kinda wish the film lasted longer... still dont know how this thing all started in the first place.
How the virus was created?
If I remember correctly some people were experimenting on Apes/monkeys and they had the "rage" virus, and some escaped and it spread onto humans.

Edited by: commander tycho on 13/05/2007 14:51:49 Edited by: commander tycho on 13/05/2007 14:50:16 At the beginning of 28 Days Later there is a scene in a lab with a bunch of monkeys in cages and some people come in to let them go and get bitten. They then go crazy
From Wikipedia:
"The film opens with the initial outbreak of the Rage virus, caused when an infected Chimp bites an animal rights activist attempting to free animals from a laboratory."
"The Rage Virus began as a genetically engineered strain of the Ebola virus designed to carry an unspecified treatment to inhibit violent impulses.[citation needed] However, it was revealed to have the opposite effect, leading to violent behavior. After entering the bloodstream, the virus is usually very quick to manifest itself in the victim's behavior (see below), usually only 10 or 20 seconds is required for the virus symptoms to become noticeable however accurate infection time is purely indicated by the amount of infected blood has gotten into the bloodstream and the overall mass of the person in question. The virus is passed through bodily fluids and has a 100% communicability rate."
"The Rage virus does not directly cause the death of its host, but because the host has its sole focus on infecting or pursuing others, it causes those infected to become disinterested in eating, which will eventually cause death from starvation.
The infected experience spasms in the extremities, and the pupils will become wide and blood red. They will also vomit copious amounts of infected blood.
Rage will completely dominate the mind of the infected, causing him or her to become mindlessly aggressive. The infected will irrationally try to attack and kill those uninfected around them with no regard for self-preservation.
It has also been shown that the infected use their sense of smell to find those uninfected and that trace amounts of products such as perfume or soap will attract significant attention from infected"

I just persumed that they mean it didnt spread to complete other species but only stayed in "Ape-like" species.
